RCD Safety Switch Testing

RCD safety switch testing is a procedure in which an RCD is checked to ensure it will operate in sufficient time should there be an electrical fault/incident. An RCD is designed to safely disconnect power to the circuit it is providing protection for. They are a crucial component in providing safety and should be tested frequently depending on the environment (usually annually or bi-annually).

A plug in RCD test device is used to measure trip times at various current settings which are checked against Australian standards to ensure they are compliant.  
As well as the functional RCD test, Midland Test and Tag will also ensure all circuits and protective devices are complying with current Australian standards.

All Test results are recorded and compiled in a detailed report which will be provided for records. Any remedial action required will be advised.
